.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup raw hazelnuts
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ cup Don Victor® Pure Honey
  • ¼ cup melted coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of sea salt

Instructions:
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. Spread the hazelnuts on a baking sheet and roast for 10-12 minutes, or until fragrant and lightly browned. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning.
  3. Once roasted, let the hazelnuts cool slightly. You can then rub them in a clean kitchen towel to remove the skins, if desired. This step is optional, but it can create a smoother texture for the spread.
  4. Transfer the hazelnuts to a food processor and process until they become a fine, almost flour-like consistency. This may take a few minutes, scraping down the sides as needed.
  5. Add the cocoa powder and salt to the ground hazelnuts in the food processor and pulse a few times to combine.
  6. With the processor running, slowly drizzle in the Don Victor® Pure Honey, melted coconut oil, and vanilla extract. Continue processing until the mixture is smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.
  7. Taste the spread and adjust the sweetness with additional honey or the cocoa powder for a richer chocolate flavor.
  8. Transfer the finished spread to an airtight container and store it in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
  9. The spread may solidify when chilled, but it will soften slightly at room temperature.
