Ingredients:
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- Spread the hazelnuts on a baking sheet and roast for 10-12 minutes, or until fragrant and lightly browned. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning.
- Once roasted, let the hazelnuts cool slightly. You can then rub them in a clean kitchen towel to remove the skins, if desired. This step is optional, but it can create a smoother texture for the spread.
- Transfer the hazelnuts to a food processor and process until they become a fine, almost flour-like consistency. This may take a few minutes, scraping down the sides as needed.
- Add the cocoa powder and salt to the ground hazelnuts in the food processor and pulse a few times to combine.
- With the processor running, slowly drizzle in the Don Victor® Pure Honey, melted coconut oil, and vanilla extract. Continue processing until the mixture is smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.
- Taste the spread and adjust the sweetness with additional honey or the cocoa powder for a richer chocolate flavor.
- Transfer the finished spread to an airtight container and store it in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
- The spread may solidify when chilled, but it will soften slightly at room temperature.
